Subtropical, Edible & Permaculture Plants

How Our Nursery Works

We are a family run nursery that receives orders online and sends plants by courier.

We can deliver all over Aotearoa, but only recommend planting subtropical species outdoors in the warmer parts of the country, unless you have a particularly sheltered, warm and frost-free site. Some plants in our catalogue are more cold hardy, and these can be planted nationwide.

You can find information on each plant, its price and care requirements by clicking on its picture in the catalogue.

To place an order, check out our catalogue then submit the form on the 'Place An Order' page letting us know the names and quantities of the plants you would like- we'll send you back an invoice which can be paid by credit card or bank transfer. Once the payment has been received, we'll pack it with care and send it your way.

To avoid plants being stuck in transit over the weekend we post all our packages Mondays and Tuesdays. If you live locally and want to pick your plants up from Whangārei we can arrange this.

The minimum order size that we accept is $20, due to the time it takes us to package and send each order.
Prices are GST inclusive.

Please be aware that our nursery is on private land and we do not allow visits.

Community Involvement

We are constantly on the lookout for new species and new varieties of plants, if you have something we might be interested in then please get in touch. We are happy to trade, or provide store credit in exchange.

If you are interested in purchasing larger quantities of plants for orchard or food forest projects, please contact us and we can discuss larger orders.

If you are involved in a social permaculture project, such as a community garden, community food forest, school or Marae planting, please send us a message to see if we can help out.
